One day, after finishing all the tough work, it was already very late, and I found all my colleagues had gone away. The noisy sound outside transmitted through the window into the empty office, which formed a very strange atmosphere. In order to drive it away, I turned on the speaker which played a lively song. As the musical notes integrating into the atmosphere, magic changes had been taken on among them. Then a little guy appeared in my mind, keeping walking forward with the rhythm of the music. He seemed to be happy when the music was happy, while he was very sad when the music was sad. Then I thought, “Why not make it a game?”
Take a Walk was coming this way. Owing to the initial vague concept, in the entire development process, we created lots of prototypes, constantly adjust game instructions, and tried to find a balance between the musical experience and playability. It cost us a lot of time. Eventually, it may be not so successful, but it was the result of our earnest efforts. We are so far satisfied if the game makes you feel pleasant only just a few minutes.
Finally, I want to say, the pleasure from the game is transient, while the pleasure from the nature is permanent. So, take a walk when having more time. :)

We also created a TAW player in the following of Take a Walk, by which you can freely select your own mp3 music as well as the background and the little guy’s mood. Although the game’s instructions are slightly different from that of Take a Walk and the rhythm is not so accurate, but it’s really interesting to choose favorite music to play.

The game is getting some bad reviews on websites like MoFunZone.com, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I’m a musician, so the game was pretty easy for me. I loved how the music basically tells you when to jump, if you’re tapping your foot and listening :)

This game is to compare with Ferry Halim’s orisinal. Even though, Take a Walk is simple in black and white, and seems a bit sad, its art is beautiful. The scores from MacLeod is very enjoyable like Steven Cravis’.

Good Game For walk!!
I absolutely loved this game when I played it on IMVU the choice of music matches the game perfectly (as I’m sure was intended) and it really took my mind off the big nuisances in life and I started focusing on the small happy things! :)
Lovely game. I play this many times a day just to do the last level with the happy music and the little man running. It’s like me running around in a wheat field, feeling free of everything.
this really helps me really calm my anger or anyother problems and if i say this is a good therapy game for me so i will be sleeping well tonight :]

To the creators, I just have no words to describe the game’s awesomeness.
To the players: just wanted to leave one of my favourite songs of all time for others to listen with the TAW player if you want, or just listen to it, maybe you’ll find that you like it as much as I do. I’m from Uruguay, and the band is from here, so it’s in spanish. I translated the lyrics below. The song is called “Angeles” which means angels, It’s one of my favourite songs, and I listen to it when I’m down.
Don’t play it in the sad walk mode. Either of the other two modes works with the song. Actually, there should be something like a mix betweet the three walk modes for this song, so you jump from one state to the other at the right time. But I can’t do that, right?
